James Koppenal

Managing Director

James Koppenal is a Managing Director at The SPI Group, with experience in online and traditional public relations and marketing, and Web site development and maintenance. James serves as a project manager specializing in implementing strategic programs designed to build online awareness and site traffic through media placements, link proliferation, online partnerships and e-newsletters. His current client assignments include Pfizer, Caucus Educational Corporation, Stand and Deliver and PASCO. He joined the SPI Group in January 1999.

Previously, James was an account executive at J.B. Stanton Communications in Manhattan. There he handled traditional public relation activities for numerous consumer electronic accounts including Denon Electronics, Faroudja Laboratories, Merdian and CEDIA. James supported national consumer and trade outreach programs through media relations, press events and trade show activities. He helped the company relocate from New York to Norfolk, Connecticut, in November 1997.

James earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications from William Paterson University. He resides in Wayne, N.J. with his wife, Lisa, and son, William.
