JUNIOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER

Job Description:
A Northern New Jersey-based corporate communications agency is looking for a full-time Junior Application Developer. In this position, the Junior Application Developer will build front end/interfaces using HTML/Javascript/ASP/MS SQL and other tools to develop static and dynamic web pages.

The ideal candidate should be tech-savvy, have experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, excellent verbal and written skills and be able to work and interact within a team environment working with client managers, designers, etc.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional Web experience
• Minimum 1-2 years Web development experience
• Intermediate to advanced skills with Dreamweaver/Homesite
• Ability to hand code HTML, JavaScript and ASP.NET 1.1 (Active Server Pages)
• Understanding of CSS, XHTML, XML/XSL
• Page layout skills

Essential Job Functions:

• Support the development and maintenance of Web-based applications and Web sites
• Provide maintenance, enhancement, programming of Web sites and applications
• Contribute to large-scale projects along with other assigned projects
• Work with various internal departments and clients on projects
• Contribute to the direction and development of the agency’s projects and goals

Other Skills/Abilities (preferred, but not required):

• Experience with AJAX, PHP, CGI, ASP.NET 2.0 and Web 2.0 technologies
• Knowledge of W3C recommendations, Web standards, ADA/508 Compliance
• RSS scripting and implementation
• Graphic Design/Photoshop
• Flash
• Agency experience

Compensation and Benefits:
