Marsh USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Marsh &
McLennan Companies (MMC), is the world's leading risk and
insurance services company. Following a major consolidation
of Marsh's New Jersey operations, The SPI Group was charged
with branding the new Marsh NJ name within the state's media
outlets.
Following an introduction to Marsh NJ, The SPI Group recognized
that the firm had a number of practice area leaders with expertise
on newsworthy topics. The SPI Group developed a strategic
communications "experts" program to connect Marsh
NJ experts with New Jersey media outlets, developing topics
with broad appeal. We developed topics in the areas of fire
safety, e-commerce and workplace issues, among other topics
of value to the media. Our campaign generated a number of
feature stories of interest to business and consumer audiences,
including two front-page business section stories in The Star-Ledger
during a three-week period.
