Anthony Mirenda Joins Communications Firm as Managing Director

FAIRFIELD, N.J., May 17, 2004 - The SPI Group, a full-service marketing communications firm, today announced the addition of Anthony Mirenda, managing director, to the agency's staff. Mr. Mirenda is responsible for overseeing the agency's public relations practice area.

With more than 15 years of industry experience, Mr. Mirenda has held senior public relations positions in both corporate and agency capacities. Most recently, Mr. Mirenda was principal of AGM Communications, an independent business communications consulting firm in Edison, N.J. Previously, he was director of public relations for RIA, a division of The Thomson Corporation, New York, N.Y., where he spearheaded all external corporate positioning and internal communications. Mr. Mirenda's established career also includes four years at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, New York, N.Y., where as vice president he was responsible for building and directing a strong business-to-business practice.

Mr. Mirenda earned a Master of Business Administration (marketing) degree from Baruch College (The City University of New York) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. He is an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
